It has only been a short time since I started painting on woodblocks, but during that time I have made several trips.
However, there were times when I found myself unable to produce a piece of work because the place that should have been interesting was unexpectedly boring, or because I could not find the right composition even though I thought it was a nice place. I have gained a great deal in both tangible and intangible ways.　-　Hasui
