Since the age of ukiyoe, woodblock prints have been created through the division of labor between the engraver, the slitter, and the painter. Seeking the possibility of woodblock prints as a newer form of expression, Hiroshi Yoshida believed that if he was to use craftsmen, he himself had to be more than that, and he completed his own prints, which he himself engraved and printed.
