Udaipur

Artist : Hiroshi Yoshida

Made in Japan

Udaipur is located in the south of Rajasthan.
It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to fly from Delhi, and then about 30 minutes by car from the airport to Udaipur city. The center of the city is Lake Pichola, and the surrounding area is known as the “White City” for its beautiful scenery of white buildings such as the Royal Palace, City Palace, temples, and hotels (it is also called the “Venice of the East” because of its similarity in atmosphere).

Lake Pichola, located in the center of the city, is an artificial lake created in the 16th century.
Uday Singh II, who was driven out of Chittorgarh after an attack by the Mughal Empire, settled in what is now Udaipur.
He named the city “Udaipur” after Uday Singh II, and built a lake by forcing a river to fill in to secure water. The city has a very efficient water management system, and by building Lake Fateh Sagar next to Lake Pichola, the amount of water can be regulated mutually with the neighboring lakes.https://www.saiyu.co.jp/blog/india/*
