◾️Katsushika Hokusai's Shunga are highly regarded even today as valuable works of art that convey the culture of the Edo period.
Their artistic value has been recognized throughout the ages and they have become important objects of study in the study of Japanese art worldwide.
〜The women depicted in shunga usually have happy expressions on their faces.
This is probably due to the underlying belief in the Edo period that the union of the sexes is a cause for celebration and congratulation.
Just as there are yin and yang, heaven and earth, there are men and women in this world, and when they mingle, life is born and offspring flourish.

The great octopus “My wish that I had been aiming for someday surely came true, and today, today, I finally caught the diver of my dreams. She's really a plump little fish. The diver woman said,
 “That's a hard octopus. (gasps) She sucks the mouth of the womb in the back, which makes me breathless, oh yes, really. What are you going to do with those warts? (gasps) What are you going to do with those warts irritating my pubic cleft? (Panting) There you go again. All this time people have been calling me an octopus, an octopus, but why, why this (gasps)?
The great octopus said, 
“How are its eight legs entangled? It's so swollen up inside, and the water is like hot water.
Ama:(woman)
“Yes, it's already tickling me, and I've lost all strength in my hips, I've lost all sense of duty and boundaries, and my mind keeps going (gasps), it's fine, it's fine.
Little octopus: 
“When the master is finished, I will rub you again with this wart from the head of the nucleus to the hole of the buttocks to make you feel it, and then I will suck out the whore water again, chi-chi-chiu”.
