◾️Katsushika Hokusai's Shunga are highly regarded even today as valuable works of art that convey the culture of the Edo period.
Their artistic value has been recognized throughout the ages and they have become important objects of study in the study of Japanese art worldwide.
〜The women depicted in shunga usually have happy expressions on their faces.
This is probably due to the underlying belief in the Edo period that the union of the sexes is a cause for celebration and congratulation.
Just as there are yin and yang, heaven and earth, there are men and women in this world, and when they mingle, life is born and offspring flourish.

７：満福和合神　Maipuku-wagou-jin (春画　shunga)
This is the last Shunga by Hokusai (age 61).
〜The story /written  by Hokusai〜
The main characters are Osane, born into a wealthy family, and Otsubi, the daughter of a poor family. The film depicts the tumultuous lives of these two childhood friends, who are the same age as each other, from the age of 13 to 30.
The story begins with the shocking story of 13-year-old Osane's sexual awakening through a peek into her parents' lovemaking, while poor Otsubi is raped by two men from the neighborhood.
However, after gaining experience in the service and elsewhere, Otsubi gives birth to an heir as the concubine of a wealthy and helpful man.
In the end, she is left in peace as a young woman who indulges in the pleasures of the young men.
Osane, on the other hand, elopes with a compatible man and is disowned by her parents.
