It was based on a tanka poem by Yosano Akiko.

 

"Like hot blood flowing through soft skin

Don't even try to touch my passion

You are preaching the teachings of life. Don't you feel lonely?"

Like the blood flowing inside young, soft skin

My passion for you is released into the night

Painting the sky red –

That's the image I had in mind when I drew it.

I somehow feel like you, the one I miss, are waiting for me

When I went out to the flowering field, I saw an evening moon.

I was fascinated by Akiko Yosano's beautiful depictions and decided to draw them.

I have a girlish heart waiting in a deserted field

Become lovable

"Then you, my beloved, found me

You, the blue bird, are coming from the sky

It fell into my hands."

I decided to do it.
