My production diary *Two Forests*

My production diary, Part 1 *Two Forests*

If you read my introduction,

You can imagine how excited I was to create this piece.

To put it simply, I was inspired by Matisse .

This was inspired by Matisse's papercuts from his later years.

Matisse's illness made it difficult for him to paint.

I sat on my bed and cut paper with scissors. I saw Matisse in a photo book.

When I saw it, I was impressed that this was a true artist.

His cutouts in the photo book are

It's like going back to childhood

It's relaxed and easygoing.

It was bright, fun and full of openness.

When I was a child, I used to look at advertisement pictures of desks, bags, shoes, etc.

It reminded me of playing with scissors, snipping them apart.

Sunday's ad

There are lots of colors and shapes

I was able to cut out a variety of shapes.

Then I gave them erasers and notebooks as presents.

Wrap it in wrapping paper...

It's not because I loved it or enjoyed it,

That's what I did when I saw the ad.

Those memories came back to my mind

I had a strong desire to paint like Matisse!
