One thing you can't buy at a cake shop is the sponge for the cake base.

By the time I can bake the cake

I tried doing it in stages.

"Sponge cake made with pancake mix"

The cake mix tastes... hmm? Not great.

When cooked in a rice cooker...it ended up having the texture of a large pancake.

Made with pancake mix...it's not like a pancake at all🥞

I wouldn't call it a cake stand.

And

I use a convection oven,

It's cheap and versatile, but the interior space is small.

I think it was around 8,000 yen. I've been using it a lot for over 5 years.

It's not tall enough and it burns.

Much better than the oven function on a microwave.

Upper and lower flames are important.

And as a result, this is the recipe that I ended up with!

5 eggs

Kyushu strong flour 120g

100 grams brown sugar or cane sugar

70 grams melted butter

I usually decorate it with homemade jam and butter cream.

But today I ate it fresh out of the oven.

Warm and warm ~ I'm so happy... It was delicious ❤︎❤︎❤︎
